Dear Neighbor:

It is hard to believe that three years have passed since the voters of DuPage County honored me with the privilege of serving as DuPage County Treasurer.  While the time has gone by quickly, we have worked diligently to serve the taxpayers of DuPage County and ensure the highest level of customer service.

During the past three years, we developed and implemented a policy of collateralizing the county’s investments to ensure that taxpayers’ funds are protected.  To serve the taxpayers of DuPage County better, I have also earned the designation of certified public investment manager.

Additionally, we have worked to improve the use of technology, which has resulted in a more efficient payment processing system and the implementation of a credit card payment program.  We also instituted SeniorServe, a program designed to communicate more effectively with our senior population and assist them with managing the costs associated with their annual property tax bill. 

Moving forward, we will continue to work with state, county and local officials and offices with the ultimate goal of better service to you.  In my office, we will soon announce a tax pre-payment program, which will allow taxpayers to pay their taxes in installments rather than in two larger payments.  The office of DuPage County Treasurer will also continue to serve by improving efficiency and customer service through streamlining measures and staff cross training.

While much has been done, there is still more to be accomplished.  I ask for your support and look forward to the opportunity of continuing to serve you as DuPage County Treasurer.
